"B&B "Vie del Mediterraneo", a simple refuge for authentic relaxation. This is the story of an ancient house reborn in the historic center of Porto Cesareo, just a few meters from the famous white sandy beaches, facing the renowned 'Isola dei coniglì which can be reached on foot or by taxi boats that provide shuttle service. Sometimes simplicity is also the result of great work. This was the case for B&B Vie del Mediterraneo, which the property brought back to life in the historic center of a small town overlooking the Ionian Sea, a few kilometers from Lecce and Gallipoli. Starting from an ancient ancestral home, some double rooms with private bathrooms, a beautiful masonry kitchen, and a large entrance in pure Mediterranean style were renovated, ready to seduce lovers of a simple yet refined style with the dazzling light of Salento. The renovation project involved the recovery of ancient local construction techniques, such as visible star-shaped vaults, a coating made with white lime and colored earth, combined with ancient designs of terracotta tiles. The owner wanted the B&B to be a home that reflected the place, its light, craftsmanship, and local materials.
