Contrada Onda, Snc - ROSSANO (CS)
The B&B Tenuta Terra Rossa is located in Rossano, an ancient Byzantine city surrounded by the beautiful Mediterranean landscape of the upper Ionian coast. Just five minutes from the city center and stunning beaches, it serves as an ideal starting point for discovering Calabria and southern Basilicata, a region where the sea and mountains meet in a journey through history, traditions, nature, and excellent cuisine.
The surrounding farm encompasses an ancient square-shaped manor house, which is arranged over three levels and features an inner courtyard and a well. Once a monastery built between the late 1500s and early 1600s, it transitioned from ecclesiastical ownership to the Renzo family, who have maintained its historical charm. The estate, covering approximately 50 hectares, is partly dedicated to the cultivation of centuries-old "Dolce di Rossano" olive trees, known for producing renowned olive oil, and partly to citrus orchards.
The Renzo family places great emphasis on the quality of their products and the ecological balance of their crops, undergoing rigorous inspections each year to obtain organic certifications. Over the last decade, brothers Cesare and Vincenzo have expanded the business by introducing hospitality services, renovating part of the manor to accommodate the B&B and restaurant, offering guests an authentic experience amidst the artistic and natural beauty of Calabria, along with the rich culinary traditions of the area. At the same time, they have embarked on a new endeavor with the cultivation of Liscioni lemons.
The rooms are furnished in a simple style that reflects the agricultural tradition, providing all modern comforts, including TV, air conditioning, heating, and private bathrooms, ensuring a relaxing stay. Some rooms offer sea views, while others overlook the inner courtyard. Each room includes a covered parking space, and the large garden, spanning about one hectare, provides ideal areas for relaxation, reading, or children's play.
During the summer months, breakfast is served outdoors under the shade of lemon and orange trees, while in the colder months, it can be enjoyed in front of a large fireplace, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
