Via Delle Donzelle, 5 - SIENA (SI)
The Hotel Le Tre Donzelle is, along with the Piccolo Hotel Etruria, the most central hotel in Siena, as it is only 10 meters away from Piazza del Campo, where the Palio takes place twice a year.

Externally, the building has a 19th-century architectural style, but its origins date back many centuries, with the earliest records in the archives dating back to 1450. It seems that, in addition to being a hotel and tavern, in the past it was also a brothel, as suggested by the name of the street "Donzelle," which derives from the 14th-century term "Guazelda," which refers to a young lady of easy virtue.

The building, characterized by a facade with imitation rustication, is topped with a high cornice decorated with festoons and knotted fruit from which birds hang.

Inside, a large staircase covered by a skylight leads to the rooms, which are accessed through small rooms with faux marble fireplaces and hexagonal, multi-colored tile floors.

The family that has been managing the hotel since November 2013 has renovated and furnished it entirely with typical antique Tuscan furniture, giving the building a more private home-like atmosphere than that of a hotel.

The rooms are all equipped with ceiling fans and intercoms, many of them have recently renovated private bathrooms with showers.

Despite being only a one-star hotel, the Hotel Le Tre Donzelle offers services of a higher category, such as free Wi-Fi, a 24-hour reception desk available to guests, a common room with a flat-screen TV, various sitting areas, luggage storage for the entire day, and a buffet breakfast service with homemade pastries.

Bicycle storage is also available.
