Loc. Val D'Arca, - PERGOLA (PU)
Farm
In the midst of the green hills of the Marche, in the community of Pergola, the Metzler Meyer family has renovated an old Borgo, a traditional little hamlet of stone buildings. The therefore created holiday destination ?Agriturismo Alla Vecchia Quercia? lies at the foot of Mount Catria and is surrounded by pastureland, fields and deciduous forest ? what more would you want for a perfect vacation.

Included in the agriturismo is our farm which encompasses 15 hectares of organically cultivated fields and pastures, animal husbandry and a large orchard as well as a vegetable garden. New we have also planted ca. 300 young olive trees.

Our animals are all bred and raised on the farm. Our carefully selected, sturdy and often local breeds and our farm grown fodder guarantee for excellent quality. And of course the horses, dogs and cats..

The ?Cinta Senese? pig is a robust breed, with very tasty meat.

Although the Italian water buffalo is a rather rare sight in the Marche it is an interesting alternative to cattle.

Apennine sheep, rabbits and poultry are also bred and raised on our farm. Of course all our animals live in close vicinity to the Borgo.

The location of our agriturismo offers an ideal starting point to get to various sights. Urbino, San Marino, Monte Catria, the stalactite cave of Frassassi, Gubbio and, last but not least, the picturesque Adriatic coast with the remarkable Monte Conero.

The region is also inviting you to go for extended motorbike or mountainbike tours or you may decide to discover the countryside on foot or even on the back of one of our gentle horses.

Or do you instead prefer to just relax? Then simply enjoy the splendid view while sunbathing at our swimming pool.

About us
We are a Swiss family, who in 1999 found this little paradise and emigrated to the Marche. Corinne and Roland have restored this Borgo together with the parents / parents-in-law Heidy and Gerry. With love a great holiday destination was created in a wonderful environment.

In the meantime Heidi and Gerry are retired and moved to another area. We, Corinne and Roland are always looking forward to welcoming you!
