Via Montesion, 63 - CAMINO (AL)
"The 'Templars' Residencè is an old country house located on a hill in the lower area of Monferrato, alongside a small 18th-century church. It was love at first sight that drove us to save it from decay, and after a meticulous three-year restoration, conducted with passion and creativity, we have managed to restore it to its former glory. To share the unique charm of this residence and the surrounding landscape, we have decided to open a bed & breakfast, where guests can immerse themselves in a bygone atmosphere, pampered by warm furnishings, crackling fireplaces, and delightful breakfasts. The Templars' Residence is situated one hour away from Milan, one hour from Genoa, 40 minutes from Turin, and 45 minutes from Lake Maggiore. It is located within the Historical Park of the Lower Monferrato, in the small village of Piazzano, famous for being the birthplace of an extraordinary figure who dominated the Russian chronicles of the 18th century during the reign of Catherine the Great: Giovanni Battista Boetti, known as 'Prophet Mansur'. Boetti managed to lead a rebel army that achieved a series of victories in Armenia, Georgia, and Circassia, defying central power. A commemorative plaque of his exploits can be found in the farmhouse across from our bed & breakfast. The small church of San Giorgio and the residence date back to the 13th century but were completely rebuilt in 1805 after being destroyed by the Napoleonic army."
