Via Monte San Michele, 6 - Sampieri, SCICLI (RG)
This period fisherman’s house has been beautifully renovated maintaining many of the original features of the building, including the local Comiso stone that was used in the original construction and terracotta floor tiles.

The property is located close to the sea (approximately 25-30m) in the beach resort of Sampieri, within the Province of Ragusa. Driving the coastal road Pozzallo-Marina di Ragusa, stands the lovely village of Sampieri, an administrative division of Scicli. It is an old fishing village, perhaps the most picturesque in the province’s shore, its stone houses jostled with one another, bordering a maze of narrow streets.

Sampieri boasts one of the most beautiful shores of all Sicily comprising a long sand beach and lovely rocky cliffs. ‘U stabilimientu bruciatu’ (Sicilian for “the burnt building”), lying on the eastern cliff, a former tile factory accidentally burnt in the mid 1900s, has become an attraction thanks to its impressive look, even chosen as a setting for numerous movies.

Within close proximity to the house there are a number of small shops, bars, restaurants, supermarket, barber’s, hairdresser, etc.

The Baroque towns of Noto, Modica, Scicli, Ragusa Ibla, which as a group form part of a United Nation World Heritage site, are within easy reach of the property.

Free WiFi.

"Thanks very much for a romantic stay in this sweet house. We enjoyed the birdsong in the morning, the cool peace in the afternoon, and the cats in the evening.

It's a nice kitchen to cook in together and a great location. Thanks also for making us feel welcome on arrival".

"Thank you for a lovely holiday in this little property. We had a great time staying here for the week. Sampieri is a small but charming village. The beach is great and so close to this property. The supermarket sells everything (particularly freshly baked bread in early evening). Look out for a man in a little van selling fresh fruit and vegetables in the early evening too.

There are lots of nice beaches and places to visit nearby. We had a good day trip to Noto and Siracusa".

Becky + Steve - Cowbridge South Wales
"We had a lovely holiday in late October, warm and sunny almost every day and a friendly welcome from Concetta and the locals.

We enjoyed the Nature Reserve just west of Donnalucata; the even bigger Reserve at Vendicari north of Noto; Ragusa Ibla; Noto; the train to Siracusa and the long drive to the Roman Villa at Piazza Armerinà
Arrivederci e grazie di tutto!".
