The Guest House “Il Sorriso” is situated on the enchanted island of La Maddalena. The scent of sea, the warmth of the sun, a gentle north-west breeze, and a welcoming smile are sure to be experienced by all its guests.
The Guest House Il Sorriso is only 5-minute walking from the tourist port and the historic center of town. It is located in an independent newly restructured building sited in a residential area. Its location provides easy access to restaurants, bars, supermarkets, tobacco shops, newsstands, gym, outdoor movie theatre, public gardens, ice-cream shop, and beauty shop.
From its location you can easily reach the most beautiful beaches of the island of La Maddalena and those of the island of Caprera with its wild and uncontaminated nature.
The Il Sorriso offers
•Two large and brightly illuminated double bedrooms (also for single use) with a lovely panoramic view. Upon request an additional bed can be provided in one of the rooms.
•A room with twin beds and balcony.
•Two separate bathrooms that can also be given for exclusive use, with shower/bathtub, and hairdryer.
•The rooms have air conditioning (cold/warm) and digital LCD TV.
An abundant and varied breakfast is served inside or outdoors on a cool and sunny terrace overlooking the islands of Caprera and Santo Stefano.
Special attention is given to the daily cleaning of the bathrooms and common spaces.
The change of bed linen takes place every 7 days and at each change of guest.
The change of towels is made every 5 days and at each change of guest.
Check-in from 14: 30 to 20: 00 and to be agreed in advance.

We were three in two rooms with a shared bathroom. A third room with a separate bathroom was occupied by a friendly other couple. The accommodation is extremely clean and practically equipped, the view is great and the center is within walking distance in a few minutes. Maria is a very friendly, punctual, and competent host. Breakfast was served very kindly by her and was always very tasty. During the day, Maria kept the entire property in top condition. We had a very nice time here and would love to come back!

We spent 5 nights at B&B Il Sorriso and fully enjoyed our stay. Maria is such a friendly and helpful host. We are so glad that she helped us a lot when our little 8-month-old daughter was ill. The rooms are all very clean, you can clearly tell that Maria places great importance on hygiene. Our room was lovely and the view from the terrace is simply amazing. Breakfast is served by Maria on the terrace, she always offers you some choices of what you want to eat. Also, the B&B is very well located for exploring the island(s). All in all, the price/value for money is just great. We can only recommend everyone to stay at B&B Il Sorriso.

The view from the terrace is very beautiful and it is relaxing to have breakfast there. Too bad that if it rains everything gets wet despite the cover. The value for money is good. The only thing I didn't like is the continuous control of what is used and the costs: the request to pay everything days in advance is inappropriate because before paying the balance I want to be sure that the accommodation is ok and if you put a hot-cold air conditioner in the bathroom I want to be able to use it as I like, otherwise don't put it!

Maria is a great hostess. I wish I knew Italian to be able to talk to her more. During breakfast every day she gave us the choice of a wide variety of products. The views from the terrace are the same as in the website photos and the bed is very large and comfortable.

B&B Il Sorriso HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, more than a week after this wonderful holiday I still thank Mrs. Maria for hosting us, I have 5 good reasons to recommend coming to this B&B. I start with the excellent breakfast on the terrace, with a dream panoramic view, top location a 15-minute walk from the center, the room cleanliness is perfect, all the spaces are well maintained and furnished with taste, style and simplicity, the hostess Maria is a wonderful lady, you will notice it immediately during your stay. We stayed at B&B Il Sorriso from the 9th to the 16th of August. The structure is located 10 minutes walk from the center, nearby there are supermarkets, pizzerias, and various shops. Our room is beautiful and spacious, just like in the photos, equipped with a refrigerator. The bathroom is not in the room but just outside the door, a screen has been placed that guarantees privacy. The cleanliness is excellent, attention to detail makes the difference. The balcony is huge, offering a breathtaking view where you can also eat since there is a microwave in the common area. Maria is a perfect host, kind and helpful, present but not intrusive, providing valuable advice. Patience is required to climb three flights of stairs... you will be rewarded with an enchanting view.

B&B Il Sorriso is very clean and well taken care of in every detail. Our rooms overlooked a huge and spectacular terrace, with a sea view. They are tastefully furnished, very spacious, perfect bathrooms, equipped with everything necessary, even real hairdryers and not the usual meager "nozzles" with little hot air from hotels. There is great attention to cleanliness by the owner, very helpful in giving directions and advice on visiting the area. Excellent and abundant breakfast, with homemade cakes and pastries, served on the magnificent terrace. Perfect location, just a few steps from the center.

Helpful and kind owner, but her excessive attention to cleanliness and house rules cause some inconvenience and lack of privacy, as she is very present on the property. The breakfast management needs to be reviewed as it is only scheduled in a 1-hour slot and decided by the first guest to arrive. The city center is a 15-minute walk away, while convenient to the bus stop.

All I have to say is, simply amazing! We had a perfect stay and a wonderful time in La Maddalena with such welcoming hosts. They gave us great advice about sightseeing. Our room was so clean and comfortable.
We enjoyed the various breakfast on the balcony while having a great view over the city. We would definitely recommend it.

Questo b&b si trova in una zona tranquilla poco fuori dal centro con possibilità di comodi parcheggi gratuiti; situata ad un piano alto, permette una bellissima vista dal terrazzino su cui si affaccia una camera matrimoniale molto spaziosa e confortevole.

Posizione vicina al centro ma in zona tranquilla, terrazza con vista meravigliosa su Caprera e due ospiti deliziose hanno reso il nostro soggiorno ancora più piacevole. La stanza è spaziosa e accessoriata, con bagno privato e affaccio diretto sulla terrazza, dove viene consumata una abbondante colazione. Le signore Maria e Mafalda sono state gentilissime e disponibili, dando anche consigli su cosa visitare e dove poter mangiare. Consigliatissimo.

Abbiamo alloggiato nella struttura a ridosso del 2 giugno per motivi di lavoro e svago. La conduzione familiare, la disponibilità e l’attenzione delle signore che ne curano la gestione, sono il fiore all’occhiello di questo B&B; completano il tutto le camere molto graziose dotate di frigo, tv, wifi e accesso alla terrazza panoramica a disposizione degli ospiti per la colazione o un bicchiere di vino al chiaro di luna.
È presente inoltre una zona comune in cui è possibile trovare materiale informativo sull’isola, giochi da tavolo, e stoviglie nel caso in cui si voglia usufruire della piccola zona ristoro per prepararsi uno spuntino.
Siamo stati coccolati dall’arrivo alla partenza, al prossimo ritorno sull’isola chiameremo sicuramente la signora Maria.

Posto a due passi dal centro, molto carino con terrazzino vista mare.

Ich (39 Jahre) war gerade zum zweiten Mal in diesem tollen B&B und bin begeistert. Hier kann man seinen Urlaub genießen. Maria und Mafalda sind sehr charmante und fürsorgliche Gastgeberinnen, die auch wertvolle Tipps zu Stränden, Restaurants etc. geben. Die Räumlichkeiten sind sehr sauber, die Zimmer geräumig, hell, schön und durchdacht eingerichtet. Das B&B liegt ca. 10 Fußminuten vom Zentrum entfernt, was den Vorteil hat, dass man direkt vor der Tür Parkplätze findet und keinen Lärm hat. Das Frühstück ist mit Käse, Wurst, selbstgebackenem Kuchen, Früchten, Joghurt etc. sehr abwechslungsreich. Mein nächster Maddalena Urlaub wird mich wieder ins Il Sorriso führen.

We loved our stay at this wonderful B an B. It is a special place with a spectacular view from its balcony verandhah. The B and B is in a quiet location, so you can enjoy lovely, fresh breakfasts outside with the peace and serenity of nature and the coastline uninterrupted. The hosts are kind, warm hearted people who go out of their way to make you feel at home. This is a well kept secret. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us.

Maria and Mafalda are very attentive hosts. The B&B is spotlessly clean and the views from the terrace are beautiful. The location of the B&B is actually perfect, as it is just a 10 min walk from the main area of town where you will want to eat out, and just 2 mins from the bus stop to the beaches. It's in a lovely quiet spot just on the edge of the historic town, so though the building is more modern, the area is surrounded by older buildings and a relaxing walk into the town. It is not on a steep hill, just a very gentle one, which is ideal.
Maria and Mafalda are very knowledgeable and will give you detailed info on which beaches are best depending on where the wind is blowing each day. We had a most sheltered day at Spalmatore on what was otherwise a windy day.
Maria bakes great cakes for breakfast, super light and fluffy - and one day even tiramisu. Mafalda has great English and Maria speaks French. We had a double room onto the terrace.
I would also mention that though people have said cars are beneficial the bus is very cheap and convenient and gives you access to most of the beaches. If you can afford it I would say it would be more beneficial to hire a little boat for a day or so rather than a car.

Das IL Sorisso ist ein wunderschönes B&B. Maria und Mafalda sind zwei hervoragende Gastgeberin die einem die wünsche von den Lippen abliest. Die Zimmer und das Bad sind super sauber und werden täglich gereinigt. Die Terrasse mit herrlichem Blick aufs Meer lädt zu einem ausgiebigen Frühstück ein. Das Auto kann am B&B kostenfrei stehen und der Fußweg zur Altstadt und zum Hafen ist in % Minuten erreichbar. Wir werden das IL Sorisso auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen, übrigens La Maddalena auch.

My mom and I stayed in B&B Il Sorriso fir 3 nights. We had a very pleasant stay!The owners are very kind and helpfull. They made fresh breakfast for us at a time of our preferences, everything was very clean and good looking. The Bedroom is bright and very light thanks to the big window doors to the beautiful terrace, it has good and nice furniture and looks very cosy. The bathroom was also perfect.
The centrum is a 5 minute, pleasent walk, you can park for free in front of the B&B and the location is therefor good.
We can really advise this B&B, there is nothing negative to tell about it :)
