Our area is nestled on the border between the provinces of Udine and Pordenone in a position from which it dominates the entire range of hills and the Friuli plain, in a natural setting suspended between the Alpine peaks and the Adriatic Sea.
The proximity to the natural reserve of Lake Cornino (Grifoni), the Oasi dei Quadris di Fagagna (White Stork and Northern Bald Ibis) and the Pakar Lakes also allow activities such as bird-watching, nature photography and fishing, the Lake of the Three Municipalities (or of Cavazzo) where you can practice sailing and the pristine beaches of the King of rivers, the Tagliamento, unique in Europe for its natural characteristics.
You can easily explore cities of art such as Spilimbergo, the world capital of mosaics, Maniago, with its renowned cutlery, the medieval Gemona and Venzone, the homeland of San Daniele del Friuli ham, the Longobard Cividale, the starry city of Palmanova, the historic Aquileia, ancient seat of the Patriarchate, cradle of Friulian Christian roots, or venture into the mountains of Tarvisio and Carnia or enjoy the relaxation of Piancavallo.
For lovers of good and precious things, there is no shortage of destinations: for example, you can visit Pinzano al Tagliamento-Valeriano, an area full of cellars where you can sip delicious Friulian wines or go to Cormons and the Collio, delight yourself with local cheeses and honey biological.
We must not forget that we are one step away from Slovenia and the Austrian Carinthia.
For lunches and dinners, guests can take advantage of the various restaurants and farmhouses in the area where the food and genuine dishes, rich in flavor but simple in the ingredients, will conquer even the most refined palates.
